More Sneaky peeks from Brambly Hedge - Crafters Companion

Welcome back and time to look again at what's in store on Friday's Pick of the week' show over at Create and Craft TV , The girls and boys at  Crafters Companion have bought you this fantastic range of stamps and a Cd Rom of these wonderful little woodland creatures that live deep down  in BRAMBLY HEDGE.....

Here's another couple of projects I made from the fabulous Brambly Hedge CD Rom, this time we are celebrating Summer.

The first is an A5 card I made the backing paper with white card using the Argyle embossing folder from Embossalicious and then inking with some Tim Holts 'Vintage Photo' distressing ink and a couple of dies from spellbinder and Cheery lynn, all mounted on brown Core'dinations card.

Next is a Desk Tidy made from a little red felt bag (£1.99) from the Craft barn and I decorated it with an image from the CD, printed out on Iron on fabric transfer paper from Crafter's Companion and some lace, paper flowers and a enamel butterfly.

This was so easy to make , just print out your image and iron on to some clean cotton material, I used a piece from a cotton pillow case , edged with some lace and stick onto your felt bag with your tacky glue , I used a glue gun to stick on the flowers, leaves and butterfly purely because they were a little heavier and I want them to stay put!!

Dont forget whenever you are using iron on transfer paper always follow the instructions on the packet and remember when you iron on your picture it will come out as a mirror image facing the reverse way. So if you want it to look the same as on the CD you will need to 'flip' the picture in a graphics programme first ( I used Serif) and then print out . Don't worry if you don't know how to do this, nine times out of ten it doesn't matter unless you are printing out text and then your words will come out back to front!!

Ideal if you want to move from room to garden to do a bit of crafting  in the sunshine while it lasts!!As you can see it holds all your goodies nice and tidy and there is plenty of room left for more, it could hold your wool ,knitting needles or sewing kit as well . or if you didn't fancy using it for any of those you could simply put your sandwiches in it for work!!

Don't forget to watch the show , there will also be some beautiful Brambly Hedge Hunkydory paper kits to go with this range and they are to die for!!

The best thing to hold on to..... (by Sheena Douglas)

Here's a little 7'' plaque made for my daughters boyfriends mum as a birthday gift, My daughter ask for this as her boyfriends mum loves her butterflies so I hope she likes it.

Items used
Tim Holts 'shaded lilac' distressing ink pad
Stampendous gold Halo glitter
Swirl stamp
2 butterfly peel offs
Silver WOW embossing powder
easel board and stand

I used a Sheena Douglas stamp , from the 'A little bit Sketchy' range called 'Only words - through the rain' for the sentiment and then her beautiful flowers  again from her A5 - A little bit sketchy' range (flower power) for the decoration around the sides , Everything was stamped using a versamark stamp and then heat embossed with some silver WOW powder, the flower centres are a blob of comic shimmer glue and a generous offering of gold Halo glitter from Stampendous and the lilac butterflies were make simply by using a butterfly peel off onto some paper and inking through with the shaded lilac distressing ink. The backing paper was some light blue paper I had laying around in my craft room and was too nice to throw away and this was all mounted onto a small easel card and wooden stand.

I do love the way this has come out , would be ideal for any occasion , birthdays ,Anniversaries, valentines day etc.. Its the second one I made, the first now sits on MY sideboard for a change but I think this one is nicer...

Sneaky Peek Time - Brambly Hedge from Crafters Companion

Sneaky peek time again and its a 'Pick of the week' over at Create and Craft TV  launching on Friday the 14th June at 12 noon. It's the Brambly Hedge collection from Crafters Companion

This is going to be a real treat for all you Beatrix Potter fans as this has a similar feel to it with cute animal characters and beautiful woodland scenes, you will adore this one

Here's a card that was made using the CD and some embellishments also available with this range . (keep an eye out for it on the show) The backing paper was made from Centura Pearl Card run through the embosser in one of the Beatrix Potter embossing  folders.

'Brambly Hedge' is a fabulous CD rom full of wonderful scenes from the woodland forest and the little field mice that live there. In this range you will also find some adorable stamps to accompany the CD images .

I'm loving the rocker cards its so nice to make something a little 'off the wall'. This also folds flat so is easy and cheap to post , The sentiment and bow are all on the sheet and co-ordinate beautifully with the images and backing papers

So Tune into Create and Craft on Friday 14th June at lunchtime and see the full range of goodies that go with this CD.

Embossing from Embossilicious...

Morning folks

As promised here are some  samples of what you can do with your embossing folders , today I am are using the Gun Metal folder from Embossalicous

Both Sentiments are from the Sheena douglas range of stamps A little bit sketchy - 'only words from the heart and through the rain. and have been stamped with versamark and then embossed with silver embossing powder.
I must admit I like the more grungy one more, maybe because I had  my fella in mind when I made it.

The backing paper is some Purple Core'ordinations card and the white die-cut is from the Die'sire range called Waltz frame, and the Gun metal embossing folder was run through some silver card. The corners were a marianne die and the butterflies were just some silver peel offs stuck on some matching purple Core'ordinations card
