J and C Creations - kite Day
It is generally accepted that kites were first invented approximately 2800 years ago in China, Designs often emulate flying insects, birds, dragons and other beasts, both real
and mythical. The finest Chinese kites are made from split bamboo
(usually golden bamboo), covered with silk, and hand painted. Now days they are considered toys common with children , rather than adults, though there is a Kite festival every year in Brighton for the big kids among us....
