Digging out old favourites .. Spellbinders

Being a mum is one of the best jobs in the world and I am lucky enough to be still  'employed' by my 3 lovely children , The battles never change, my youngest, Gemma, is now 20 years old and I still chase her to tidy her room, ,my eldest, Ben, now 30 is a primary school teacher and when I ask him when will he have some kids of his own he tells me he is quiet happy with the 28 he already has!! and of course my lovely Lisa, like Ben has returned to  the nest to save for a deposit for a flat.

I choose this image 'CupCake' from the Belles and whistles collection as it always reminds me of my girls when they are bored or fed up!!
They like nothing more then having some mother/daughter time in the kitchen making puddings and  cupcakes.  If you are wondering where I am in the image, I'm probably still in the kitchen doing the cleaning up!!)

As Floral Fantasies are running their 5th Blogaversary challenge I thought this card would be fitting , as it is all about old favourites and here I have used my Spellbinders Scalloped Circle die with comes out of the box most days.

The prize is an amazing blog candy (check out my sidebar) so why not pop over and enter the Floral Fantasies Challenge too.

To make this easel card you will need the following items

Scalloped 6'' x 6'' square blank card
 peach and pink card
Ribbon
Pink pearl embellishments
Belle and whistle Rubber Stamp
Spellbinders D-lite medallion two die
Spellbinders Small Scallop Circle die
 Spellbinders Floral doily motifs  die
Marianne Designs circle Frame die
Marianne Designs flourish die (part of frame set)
Spectrum Noirs pens

'With love' sentiment

I stamped my image and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and then cut the image out with a scalloped die, while the image was still in the die I dusted it with a Tim Holts 'worn lipstick' ink pad .I cut 4 medallion die-cuts and mounted them on the card blank followed with a Marianne designs circle Frame die and then mounted my cupcake image on top. the side was decorated with paper flowers and a couple of wooden ladybirds from my paper stash . I added pearls to the corners and finished with some more flowers at the top and a sentiment in the bottom corner xx

  2. Reading your first paragraph brought a smile Tracey, I can totally identify with what you say. I always say our children are like Boomerangs and even when you think one may have left home they bounce back again and if you are really lucky the come back from Uni with a partner in tow. But totally agree it's the best job in the world.

Such a pretty card here, I love the coral colours and you have embellished it so beautifully with all the matching flowers.

Thanks you so much for joining in my blog celebration and good luck when it come to the prize draws.
