One more Sleep ....

Well its Christmas Eve, the decorations are up and the presents bought , My 'grown-up' Son ( and I use the term very loosely!!) has settled back into his old room ( my beloved craft-room that was...) and bringing home germs by the dozen, from all his little charges at Purley Infant School in Surrey. We are beginning to think the only reason he went into teaching 5 year old's was so he could still play with Lego all day!!!

Oh well, one more sleep then Santa comes , hopefully he might bring me some new fences to replace the ones lost in last nights storm though not sure how he would get them down the chimney!!

Here's a couple of cards I made playing with my new Tonic die sets Square base Affections and Tres Belle square base , hope you like them xx

The top right was made using the Tonic die from the Square base Tres Belle set, it comes with a tag shape in the centre but on this occasion I have covered it up and used the diecut as a background only, with some fab hunkydory butterflies and a clock face. I have been saving these for a while to make more special cards with and these dies seem to do the toppers the justice they deserve x

The one below was made with the fantastic Tonic Square base Affections Die set , using the hunkydory butterflies and clocks again this makes a classy and feminine birthday card

My last card below is a last minute Christmas Card made using the fantastic Tonic Square base Affections Die set again as a backround with the Tradional Christmas Crafting kit from Crafters Companion and hunkydory using the lovely robins and a christmas sentiment from the pack.

Time now to thank all my followers, teammates on DTs here and over the pond that I have had the pleasure to work with over the last year and last but in no way least the wonderful Girls and boys at Crafters Companion for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to work with them , Seeing my cards and Creations on live TV for the first time was such a fantastic feeling and the last 12 months have been such a wild ride  so for all my teamies this year LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!! (Fingers and toes crossed they will let me  stay for another year.... )

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE , HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY AND NEW YEAR xx

More Embossalicious from Crafters Companion..

Here's a couple more samples from the Embossalicious folder launch last week you may of had a chance to see on Create and Craft TV on the Crafters Companion Embosser hours. The first is a 8 x 8 wedding card created in silver and white cardstock love this look, clean and pure....

I've used 2 folders from the Crafters Companion Embossalicious range , A4 dotty folder for the base and the beautiful Butterfly Swirl corner  they seem to work well together The base for the mirror in front of where the bride and groom stand is from the Die'sire die range - ornamental Oval frame die all cut from Centura Pearl Card stock

The second sample is a candle box made using the celtic corner  8 x 8 folder to decorate a diamond shaped box made from Pink Centura Pearl card stock, its also decorated with lace, a spellbinders delight die and spellbinders la papillions butterfly die and a Die'sire Sentimentals stamp and contains a church candle decorated with an image from the Angel whispers CD rom

Fabulous Dies from Tonic Studio.....

Funny how I simple request can always lead to something bigger , I asked 'husband' if it was ok if he took in some Christmas cards to sell on the reception desk at work ( did this last year , but hes company have had a change in management in the last 6 months so always best to check!!) and next thing you now I'm making 20 'bespoke' Christmas Cards for the new boss to send out to their 'treasured Account Customers. '

Guess it is really a case of not 'what you know but who you know' and if you are cheeky enough to ask!! he he..

'Husband' works for a Car/Van rental company (looking after their fleet of vehicles) so the tattered lace 'Vintage Car' mounted onto my new Verso Christmas dies  and my  Indulgence Tres Belle Tag Square die from Tonic Studio was a no brainer..

These two designs were very quick and easy to make, using the grand Calibur to cut my die-cuts from some red, black and gold card and a little gold 'Stickles' glitter glue  around the circles and some printed paper ..

My Sentiments are gold peel off stickers on a spellbinders banner die cut and the car die-cut is backed onto gun metal silver glitter card for that added sparkle and then mounted onto a spellbinders labels 20# tag and then edged with silver 'Stickles' glitter glue...

Update and Embossalicious folder sneaky peak

Computers are a wonderful thing until they go pop !!! Unfortunately I had to learn this at my cost , losing all my photos, documents and email contacts for the last 12 months , when mine decided to roll over and die in November 2013!!! The one thing I did learn however is from now on to back up everything onto an external hard drive, if I don't want to have to dig through Facebook to save photos and re-enter all my email contacts by hand again!! So huge apologies for no blog posts for the last 3 weeks  . My broken PC is at the 'intel' hospital as we speck having major surgery and fingers crossed will be back home with its love ones soon

Today's post is all about  the range of Embossalicious folders from Crafters Companion along side the brand new range of Diesire 'Sentimentals' Stamp sets and will be airing on Create and Craft TV on the 11th , 12th,13th , and 15th December, don't miss it they are some fantastic new folders to see . I was lucky enough to get to play with them in Advance (one of the peaks of been on a top-notch design team...) and I can tell you now you will love them!!

Here's my contribution to the samples, hope you like what I done with them .....

Embossilisous A4 Dotty folder, Embossalicious 6 x 6 ornate corner folder, Die'sire Ornamental flower die, centura Pearl Pastel yellow and blue card , Die'sire 'All you need is love' Sentiment stamp

Tying the Knot with Spectrum Noirs......

Hope you are all wrapped up and cosy at the moment, Geazzz, its cold outside here in Surrey!!!!! looks like winters really starting to set in now and so thought it might be nice to think of warmer sunnier times like summer parties, holidays and of course July weddings.

We have a couple to attend next year, so I thought I would make a start on my cards and tie it in with the fabulous Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir launch over at Create and Craft TV this coming weekend!!

If you would like to see more about these wonderful alcohol pens then tune in to Create and Craft TV you can find them at Freesat 813, Freeveiw Channel 36, Virgin 748 and Sky 671.

You can watch as the lovely girls from Crafters Companion show you demos on techniques and tricks to get the best results possible with your colouring and shading, There is always something new to learn...

SPECTRUM NOIR SHOW TIMES

 Saturday 16th: 08:00, 13:00 and 17:00
Sunday 17th: 10:00, 16:00 and 18:00
Monday 18th: 14:00 and 19:00

Here are my favourite 2 mice  from Crafters companion Makey Bakey mice  tying the knot, I've used the wedding couple stamp from the Makey Bakey mice stamp collection and used my Spectrum Noir pens to colour them in with .

Spectrum Noirs used TN2,TN4,TN5,TN6,TN7, for fur, GG1,GG2,GG3.GG4, for hat and tails CT2,CR10,CR2, for confetti...

The finished image is mounted onto a Marianne die frame which has been cut from Centura Pearl Snow white with silver card, the hearts have been cut from Centura Pearl Snow white with silver card also, with a 'Spellbinders delight heart' die and the corners are made from the Diesire 'Enchanted Spring' die and yes you guessed it, I used my favourite card again and cut them out with Centura Pearl Snow white with Silver Card.

Bad to the Bone....

Just thought I'd share with you some Crackers I made last month for the local dog Show/Charity using the tonic Christmas Cracker die, I think it fantastic and had so much fun playing with it in my little craftroom. I'm guessing I put off posting this as I hoped to have pictures from the event too but alas the weather cancelled yet another great day out and so it became a non-event in the end.

Luckily I have a great number of friends who are as pet crazy as I am and so I managed to find homes for all of the 30 large and small crackers I had made for the dog show.

As you can see the Crackers feature our little mate Barkley and friends , seems an obvious choose for a topper and they have been decorated with gold parcel ribbon and glitter . inside the larger ones you will find a 'Bonio bone' biscuit and the smaller ones all contain doggie 'milk biscuit bones' I even did a box of 6  for Ruby's trainer at dog school for her new beagle puppy...

If you would like to know how to extend you crackers to twice their size as the original die only makes the about  6 inches I found this really helpful tutorial over at DipsDesigns which shows you how to ... comes in handy when you want something larger to fit in your cracker!!

Thanks for popping by , come again soon xx

Sweet Treats for Christmas......

Its cold outside , its not that warm inside either , not up here in the loft!!! yes , I'm back up in the loft doing all my craftiness again. Our 'first born' asked to return to the bosom of his family and reap the benefits of cheap board and lodgings so he can save for a deposit on his own flat one day... So bye bye craft room , Hello Son and Cat!!!

Still I have made it homely in the rafters again, we have spent the last week carting it all up the ladder and into drawers and storage boxes , There's a small heater up that which blows a warm breeze around my ankles as I work at my table  and so I've been creating again.  Today it was with the fabulous Crafters Companion Sweet Treat Embossing boards , These boards can fit inside your Crafters Companion ultimate pro case or can be used independently from them also, hope you like what I have  made with CC's boards, papers  and dies ....

My first project is this gift box in the shape of the large milk carton
it was made with Dark Marve Centura Pearl card and some elements cut from a hobbycraft Christmas papers book , the large label at the top was cut using the Die sire Grace Frame Die and the poinsettia was a spellbinders die , all tied up nicely with a hand tied red and gold satin ribbon...

I think its quite lush and plan to fill it with biscuits or chocs , someones in for a nice surprise this Christmas......

One of the best features of the sweet treats embossing boards is the ability to create a  birdhouse from the boards , I have adapted mine and created a dog kennel for the adorable Barkley dog , this will be filled with  dog biscuits for my little ruby as her Christmas treat.. Everything you need to make the house is on the embossing boards even a template for the roof tiles !!! How cute is this.. the bottom of the box opens so once Ruby has done munching on the biscuits the box can still be used as a Christmas decoration on the side or refilled to give away again , Seriously you wouldn't put something this cool in the bin, would you??

Crafters Companion Sneaky peek - Winter Faeries Poppets Collection

Here's a quick peek at whats to come on Create and Craft TV next week ,Crafters Companion have the '4 day Deal' slot on Monday 7th at 8am and this ones a stunner . Its the Winter Faeries Poppets Collection from Christine Haworth and they are sure to fly out the door!!!!!!! ( No excuses for bad pun!!).

Here's one of the stamps from the Winter Faerie stamp set,
She is a little 'Holly Berrie faerie' and I think shes adorable.

I've colored her with my Specrum Noirs , I used TN1,TN2, FS1 and FS2 for the face and limbs, and BGR1,BG2, & BGR3 for the coat, LG3,LG4, BG2 for the skirt and leggings, EB2,3,4 for her hood and DR1 for the holly berries ..

I have glittered her wings and lantern, the outside of the image has been dusted with some Tim Holt's 'Crushed Olive' Green distressing ink (it looks a little yellow in the photos but trust me it is green) and then edged with a gold stickle pen!! the filigree circle die-cut behind her is from one of the latest dies, 'Decorative Holly Rings' from Tonic.

The sentiment is also from the stamp set and the snowflake was made with dies from spellbinders and Cheery lynn and decorated with little gems and gold and silver stickles glitter glue

Thanks for popping by , come back soon xx

Sheena Douglas ' A little bit oriental' stamps

Had a bit of a rubbish week last week, bad news was flooding through the door, people I love getting sick , jobs been lost and then the cat decides its going to throw a wobbler and start need regular trips to the vet (she's on the mend now but was very poorly before) so I was feeling down and a little stressed to say the less , so decided to treat myself to something nice to cheer myself up and give my mind something else to focus on. Good old fashion retail therapy works for me every-time!!

Wasn't long before I found these fabulous 'A little bit oriental' stamps from the Sheena Douglas range at a bargain price so snapped them up and locked myself in my craft room for the afternoon...

Here's my first creation from the set, when I get some free time I hope to do more, I choose this one first as the koi carp as in Japan it is supposed to represent 'Hope, courage and love' and we could all do with a little of that now and again.

Away with the faeries again....

Have been searching through some folders on the PC and have found lots of samples made for Create and Craft TV that I unfortunately didn't have any time to blog, so have posted a few today...

Thought it would be nice to show off some of my Faerie poppet cards from earlier this year, the stamp on the card below was made for the US market and so didn't make it onto the UK show back in April, because of this (If they don't sell it, they won't show it, that's the rules!!) but I still love it and think it deserves a viewing.

She is called the Red poppy faerie and can now be purchased from the Crafters companion website, So if you love her as much as I do you now have the chance to get her home to craft with.

The flowers were made using the Diesire quilling dies and the leaves were cut out and then embossed with an Darice embossing folder called 'Circles' The backing card was Snow White Centura pearl embossed with a spellbinders  M-bossibility folder, all mounted on a 8 x 8 scalloped edged card. and of course I used my Spectrum Noirs to colour her in

I love this card made from an image from the CD  as it always reminds me of my niece , I just love the tranquility of the young faerie pondering over her flower ....

I think this one is also adorable and again is a stamp . This one is called 'baby Rosebud' which is still available on the Crafters Companion website  if you fancied a go at stamping with her.
I have used my Speccies on this image too and have decoupaged her and glittered her wings...

Thanks for popping by xx

Crafter's Companion Sneaky Peek - MAKEY BAKEY MICE

Morning ladies,
Well its time again to have a sneak peek at what Crafter's Companion plan to delight us with this week on Create and Craft TV . On Friday the 13th (lucky for some) the Pick of the Week will be a brand new launch, I'm so excited about it I could Squeak!!!

Its the MAKEY BAKEY MICE !!

You are going to fall in love with these adorable little creatures, they are the sweetest mice ever!! Unlike the ones that live under my kitchen sink and pop in from time to time, you are going to welcome these little guys into your home....

There will be stamps , CD'S and a fabulous paper kits from Hunkydory to accompany the sets, both everyday and of course Christmas . All of today's Sneaky peeks have been made from the Hunkydory Makey Bakey Mice Everyday paper kit

Here are a few teasers to get you ready for the big launch on the 13th of September over at Create and Craft TV, The UK's only dedicated Craft channel , Sky 671, Virgin 748, Freeview 36 and Freesat 813

My favorites from this launch are the budding 'David Baily' wannabes playing with the old style camera, they look like they are having a fantasic time putting together some corking memories in their little photo album!! How cute are they!!!

And something for the guys for a change, my Dad loves his photography and would love to receive a card with a camera on, it would be personal to him as its one of his most loved hobbies.

All the card stock is 'Adorable Scoreable' so you would get and cracks in your crease as they say!! and most of the card and toppers in the kits are also foiled in some way so you will be getting top quality kits to work with.

This card on the left with the little field mouse on popping out of his tree would also make a lovely 'New Home' card for anyone about to move or even get their first place to call their own. As would the shaped
card on the right  with the little mouse waking up after spending the night in a teapot.

There are loads of cute images to will definitely find something for everyone in these kits.I will post more next time featuring the Christmas selection from the Hunky dory kits as they too are as adorable and a real pleasure to craft with

Bye for now xx
